Sinhalese luhu (10)

     Clough’s Sinhala English Dictionary says Sinhalese word luhu means “haste, speed, quickness; short, easy, light; little, and small.” It traces its origin to the Tamil root el through the transformation of el > luhu. The following words, related to Sinhalese luhu, also originate from Tamil el.
