Pali aḍḍha (28)
According to Davids and Stede’s Pali-English Dictionary, Pali word aḍḍha means “one half or half,” and it is commonly used in compound forms. It traces its origin to the Tamil root aṟuttal through the transformation of aṟu > aṟuttal > ardhá > aḍḍha. The following words, related to Pali aḍḍha, also originate from the Tamil root aṟuttal.
